More than 80% of the carpet sold in Canada has historically come from the United States — and it's now subject to counter-tariffs of up to 50%. Oshawa Carpet One Floor & Home began shifting toward Canada's main domestic carpet manufacturer last year, and has more recently added suppliers from Turkey to help offset the impact without passing the full cost on to customers.
